Everything You Need to Know
The Whistling Woods Farm is thoughtfully designed to host everything from intimate celebrations to larger weddings and special events across our beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.
Our Grand Hall can comfortably accommodate approximately 250–325 seated guests and upto 350-450 guests for cocktail-style events depending on how the you plan to use the space.
For larger celebrations, our outdoor ceremony lawn, covered patio, gardens, and surrounding farm setting allow for a more spacious indoor-outdoor event flow. With the option to incorporate tenting and outdoor setups, we can explore custom layouts based on your guest count, event style, and overall vision.
No, outside alcohol may not be brought onto the property. All alcohol service must go through The Whistling Woods Farm bar program and follow our venue’s bar policy, ABC permit requirements, and all local/state regulations. Alcohol service must be arranged and approved through the venue in advance.
Our permanent bar is located inside the Grand Ballroom at the rear of the reception space. We also offer an optional mobile bar that can be set up in the reception area or on the covered patio for cocktail hour. Additionally, 10 cocktail tables are included with your rental and may be placed throughout the property, including the covered patio, and other outdoor gathering spaces.
You may have the venue from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM depending on your package with the options of 6 hours, 12 hours, or 14 hours. Last call for bar services is 10:30 PM with all events ending at 11:00 PM. All decorations and personal belongings are required to be cleaned up and out of the barn by midnight. A $1,000 fee will be applied if your group is not out by the contracted time. Vendors will have access to the space 11:00 PM – midnight to tear down any décor and exit the property.
Yes, you can pay with a credit card. However, similar to other venues we pass along the fee charged to us by our payment processor. Payments of cash or checks are encouraged if the fee is not acceptable. Checks can be made payable to The Whistling Woods LLC, A credit/debit card will be required on file for any incidentals or damage to the property.
Our standard payment schedule:
25% booking retainer — due upon signing to secure your date
50% interim payment — due 12 months before your event
25% final balance — due 90 days before your event
More than 12 months before: Loss of initial booking retainer only
9–12 months before: 40% of total venue hire fee retained
3-9 months before: 60% of venue hire fee retained
3 months or less: 100% of the total venue fee
We strongly recommend comprehensive wedding insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. We're happy to suggest reputable providers.
Yes — The Whistling Woods Farm staff will set up ceremony chairs and reception tables and chairs. Clients are responsible for decorations and gathering personal belongings after the event.
Yes. If your ceremony is held indoors, our staff can flip the barn from a ceremony setup to a reception setup for a fee of $800. This service must be arranged when you book the venue.
If your ceremony is planned outdoors but must move indoors due to weather, the venue coordinator must receive at least 4 hours' notice to prepare the barn. Please note that a full room flip may not be available for last-minute weather-related changes.
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own professional vendors, including caterers, wedding planners, florists, decorators, DJs, photographers, and other event professionals.
We do not require couples to use an exclusive vendor list. However, vendors must be licensed when applicable, carry appropriate insurance, and may be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI).
Full-service caterers are required for food service and catering cleanup. All vendors must follow venue policies, setup and breakdown schedules, bar service guidelines, and property rules.
Please note that all alcohol service must be provided through The Whistling Woods Farm's bar program.
Ceremony rehearsals must be approved and scheduled through The Whistling Woods Farm. Rehearsal times are arranged based on venue availability and must not interfere with other events taking place on the property.
Security is typically required for events where alcohol is being served and the guest count exceeds 200 guests. Additional security requirements may also be determined based on the nature of the event, event timeline, or other factors at the venue's discretion.
Any required security personnel must be provided by an approved licensed security company, and all associated costs are the responsibility of the client.
To ensure the safety of our guests and the preservation of The Whistling Woods Farm, we kindly ask that all clients, guests, and vendors adhere to the following venue policies:
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on the property. All alcohol service must be arranged through the venue and/or approved providers.
The Whistling Woods Farm maintains a flame-restricted environment. Traditional sparklers, fireworks, open flames, and other combustible items are prohibited.
LED or battery-operated candles are welcome and may be used throughout the venue as a safe alternative to open-flame candles.
For grand exits and celebrations, we encourage alternatives such as bubbles, fresh flower petals, ribbon wands, glow sticks, or other venue-approved items.
Confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed, faux snow, silly string, and similar materials that are difficult to remove or may impact the property are not allowed.
Nothing may be affixed to walls, windows, floors, ceilings, doors, or venue furnishings using nails, screws, staples, tacks, tape, glue, command strips, or other adhesives without prior written approval.
As a nature-inspired venue, we strive to protect our grounds and landscaping. Non-biodegradable decorative materials, metallic confetti, artificial flower petals, sky lanterns, and similar items are prohibited unless specifically approved by venue management.
Cold spark effects may be permitted only in designated outdoor locations and must be operated by a licensed and insured vendor in accordance with venue requirements.
Dry ice effects are generally permitted. Smoke, haze, fog, or other machines that may trigger alarms or impact guest comfort are subject to venue approval.
Pets and animals participating in ceremonies or photographs must receive prior approval from venue management. Owners are responsible for supervision, cleanup, and ensuring animals remain properly secured throughout the event.
Clients are responsible for communicating venue policies to all vendors and guests and ensuring compliance throughout the event.
These guidelines help us maintain a beautiful, safe, and enjoyable experience for all celebrations hosted at The Whistling Woods Farm.
Yes. We love including furry family members in celebrations. Dogs are welcome at The Whistling Woods Farm, provided they are covered by appropriate liability insurance and meet venue requirements. Contact your venue coordinator for details and insurance information.
Pricing varies based on the day of the week, season, event length, guest count, and services selected. We offer both full-day wedding rentals and 6-hour intimate event packages.
Current 2026–2027 pricing includes:
Monday–Thursday 6-hour intimate rental: $4,000–$7,000
Friday 6-hour rental: Starting at $7,000
Saturday full-day rental: $8,000–$11,000
Friday & Sunday full-day rental: $7,000–$9,500
Weekday full-day rental: $6,000–$8,000
Additional fees may apply for cleaning, room flips, bar service, extended hours, and custom event needs.

Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Guests must use these approved locations and properly dispose of smoking materials.
The Whistling Woods Farm has a strict no-tolerance policy for underage drinking. Our bar staff is trained to monitor alcohol service and will take appropriate action if necessary. We also enforce a zero-tolerance policy for drinking and driving. Guests are expected to arrange safe transportation before leaving the venue.
Yes, children are welcome. However, children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Unattended children may result in the responsible party being asked to leave the property.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, venue staff reserve the right to ask any guest to leave the property if their behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or potentially harmful to the venue, staff, or event attendees.
No. All vehicles must be removed from the property at the conclusion of the event. Overnight parking is not permitted, and unauthorized vehicles may be subject to towing.
No. Clients and guests are responsible for keeping track of their personal belongings. All items brought onto the property should be collected before leaving. The Whistling Woods Farm is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property.
Yes. To protect the property, the following items are not permitted: confetti, rice, birdseed, silk flower petals, glitter, tape, nails, staples, or any materials that may damage venue surfaces or require extensive cleanup.
No. Cooking is not permitted inside any venue buildings. All food service must be handled by approved catering professionals in accordance with venue guidelines.
No. Illegal drugs and controlled substances are strictly prohibited anywhere on The Whistling Woods Farm property.
Yes. A valid credit card must be provided and kept on file to cover any incidental charges or damages that may occur during your event.
